At the beginning of every project, I provide a timeline with check-in points where specific milestones are hit in the project (content delivered, site review, etc). Sometimes life happens and you or I will fall a little behind. I try to remain flexible about our schedule but do my very best to stick to our agreed-upon timeline and hope you will too.

Before design begins we take a full assessment of your brand to identify your audience and create a strategic foundation for the work to come. Then we’ll establish a creative direction that sets you apart and helps your unique qualities shine through.

Your primary and secondary logos tell the most complete story of your brand. Typically a combination of type and illustration set in a specific way, they will be the keystones to your full brand.

A brand is so much more than a logo and brand marks & alternates are a great example of why. Having variations of your primary and secondary logos gives you the flexibility to add a touch of branding to everything you make without wearing out your logo. The complete brand package also includes custom patterning to support your signature look.

We’ll move your branding across a set of collateral items so you’re ready to begin marketing right away. A business card design is included with all brand packages and you have the option to add one additional designed pieces based on your needs. Collateral might include: postcard, letterhead, pdf opt-in, or something completely unique to you!

When your brand design is finalized you’ll receive an organized folder of all your brand assets including files appropriate for print and web use. This also includes a comprehensive style guide that captures all of our work and demonstrates best practices moving forward. The style guide provides an overview of audience and ethos as well as nitty-gritty details like color formulas and typographic selection, making it easy to use your new brand across platforms.

This package will take 8-10 weeks.

Before looking at layout and functionality, we’ll do some ground-work planning to be sure we’re considering all of the needed pages and functionality for your site. These simple outlines will serve as a guide for content creation and establishing hierarchy within your page designs so we can be sure to drive customers to the information you most want them to see.

Using our wireframes & sitemap as a guide, the primary pages of your site will be laid out as flat (not-interactive) designs so you can sign off on the flow of the site, and approve the look & feel before anything is built. Those designs are then translated to a beautiful working website.

All text and images that are provided for the site will be added into the built page designs so that when launch time arrives, you have a fully populated and styled website ready to go.

The key to making a Squarespace site move beyond a templated look is the addition of custom styling. I’ll use custom code to achieve a look that brings your brand to life and supports the goals of your business while always keeping in mind that the site should look and work great across all screen sizes.
